Subject Description

The subject covers sub-topics such as manufacturing technology, production flows, production management, industrial automation and production systems and includes, for example, knowledge of ergonomics, sociotechnical aspects and safety.

The tasks include teaching at the undergraduate level and actively participating in pedagogical development work at the department.

 

As a teacher, you have total responsibility for your courses. In addition to teaching, it involves developing courses and teaching with regard to new scientific research and, if appropriate, industrial development. Additionally, examination, evaluation and responsibility include the objectives of the course that are in line with the objectives of the education and to actively cooperate with teachers in the courses and programs you teach. You have a quality responsibility for the courses you teach.

Qualifying to be employed as an assistant is the one who has

  • graduated from basic university education in the subject of employment or have equivalent competence,

  • professional skills relevant to the content of the employment and the duties to be included in the employment, as well as

  • demonstrated educational skill

 

assessment criteria

The subject and pedagogical skills must be well documented and relevant to the content of the employment.

 

It is of the utmost importance that the applicant has:

  • documented educational skills. The assessment of the pedagogical skills should also refer to the person's ability to develop as a teacher in the long term.

  • documented substantive proficiency relevant to the content of the employment

  • documented professional skills relevant to the content of the employment

  • vocational experience outside the university, of which at least four years in a qualified position related to the subject area

  • good ability to teach in Swedish

  • communicative ability, work structured, is quality conscious self-propelled and has good collaborative ability

 

It is of the second highest importance that the applicant has:

  • administrative skills

  • skills regarding development work in the field

 

It is also important that the applicant has

  • industry experience from industries other than engineering, such as process industry, bio / pharmaceutical production and food industry.

  • ability to develop and manage business and staff, as well as collaborative skills. This includes understanding of diversity and equal treatment issues with a particular focus on gender equality.

  • formal college education

  • ability to interact with the surrounding community

  • experience in research studies
